Contract Supervisor

City Gate Construction Ltd is seeking a proactive and experienced Contracts Supervisor to join our team.

City Gate Construction is a privately owned Construction, Refurbishment and Maintenance main contractor founded in 2003, with offices across Scotland and England. Headquartered in Paisley, we employ over 200 staff across eight fully integrated divisions and have a strong commitment to trades apprentices, who represent approximately 15% of our workforce. We maintain industry-standard accreditations including Construction Line GOLD, Safe Contractor, CHAS, NICEIC, Gas Safe, SNIPEF and Achilles.

• Supervise the delivery of planned maintenance and upgrade works from start to completion.
• Ensure projects are completed on programme and within agreed budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of all projects.
• Lead and supervise site teams, promoting high standards of workmanship, productivity, and professionalism.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance aligns with company expectations.
• Provide clear instructions and support to operatives to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Ensure all works are carried out in full compliance with health and safety legislation and CGC procedures.
• Monitor site standards and address any non‑compliance promptly.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all teams and subcontractors.

• Proven experience supervising maintenance or refurbishment projects, ideally within planned maintenance or upgrade works.
• Strong background in planned maintenance and upgrade projects.
• Experience leading teams and managing subcontractors.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident working with a range of stakeholders.
• Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and site compliance requirements.

Based at our head office in Linwood, covering Renfrewshire and the surrounding areas.
