2 bursary positions for artists to work in the Seedhill area of Paisley. Each bursary is 40 hrs over 2 weeks. Community engagement essential and work will be displayed at a Community Arts Event.
We invite artists of all disciplines to submit proposals that focus on developing their own practice while engaging with the community in the Seedhill area of Paisley. There are two bursary positions that will be delivered across January/February 2026. Working is flexible, over 2 weeks, 20hrs/wk equivalent paid at Artist Union Rates. The materials budget is £500 for each artist. A requirement of this bursary is that the work created throughout the 2 weeks will be presented as part of a community arts event:
Evolve;
Woven Threads - scheduled to take place in late February/early March 2026. This could take the form of a performance, walkabout, installation, puppet/sculpture, sharing of research - we are open to all ideas! Artists are encouraged to engage with the Seedhill community, bringing creativity into public spaces and enriching the cultural life of the area. Your project should aim to reflect the community’s values, experiences, or stories, contributing to a shared sense of identity and belonging.
Your hours can be worked flexibly across the weeks including working remotely, although it is expected that a proportion of your hours are spent working in Seedhill with the community and the work will be presented as part of a community arts event. The selected artists will need to be self‑employed and have full Public Liability Insurance.
Please submit your expression of interest by January 5th 2026 11pm with applicants hearing back by W/C 12th January 2026. Interviews are scheduled for W/C 19th January.
