Registered Nurse – Acute Medical Unit

Join NHS Scotland to work as a Registered Nurse in our Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at The Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley.

Shift Pattern: 12‑hour shifts, rotational days and nights, Monday to Sunday.

We are seeking highly motivated and passionate Registered Nurses to join our Acute Medical Unit.

• Provide immediate care for patients admitted directly from the Emergency Department with acute medical needs.
• Manage a high turnover of patients, ensuring timely transfer to appropriate specialties while maintaining exceptional standards of care.
• Develop both general and specialist nursing skills across multiple disciplines.
• Benefit from strong leadership and ongoing professional development, supported by a dedicated Practice Educator.
• Participate in rotational experience within the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU), enhancing triage and medical assessment skills.
