ShiftPattern
Monday – Sunday 24/7 – Early, late, night.
Role OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the main theatre suite for an experienced perioperative Charge Nurse / Charge ODP. The main theatre suite consists of 9 operating theatres, a 12‑bed recovery room and a reception suite. The successful candidate will be part of a well‑established and highly functioning Charge Nurse / Charge ODP team supported by a team of SCN / SODP’s.

Responsibilities– Lead and coordinate peri‑operative nursing care across the theatre suite.
– Support a rotating schedule across the 9 operating theatres.
– Ensure safe and effective nursing practice and continuous quality improvement.
– Collaborate with surgical, anesthetic and recovery teams.
– Participate in peri‑operative education and promote professional development.
– Registered Nurse or ODP with extensive experience at band 5 level within scrub specialties of ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology or Orthopaedics.
– Able to demonstrate evidence of continued professional development.
– Degree level education and current NMC pin/HCPC.
– Rotational position; flexible across the theatre suite.
– Work 24/7, including weekends and public holidays.
