About Ascend Wellness Holdings

Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is a leading, vertically integrated multi-state cannabis operator focused on building strong brands, delivering best-in-class retail experiences, and operating with discipline  we continue to grow, we are investing in the systems, processes, and leadership required to operate a complex, regulated business with consistency, speed, and accountability.

Role Overview

The E-Commerce Specialist owns the day-to-day health of AWH's online menus — accuracy, merchandising, pricing display, promotions, and conversion — across Dutchie Ecommerce. This role is hands-on and highly cross-functional, requiring daily work inside the platform alongside retail operations, inventory, and marketing to ensure what a customer sees online matches what is on the shelf, is priced correctly, and is compliant in every market AWH serves.

The ideal candidate is detail-obsessed, comfortable moving quickly across multiple states and store formats, and energized by the intersection of e-commerce, merchandising, and regulated retail.

Location

This role is remote, with occasional travel to office or dispensary locations as menu audits, merchandising projects, and store partnerships require.

Key Responsibilities

Menu and Catalog Management

  • Own product data quality across all locations: titles, descriptions, imagery, categories, strain and potency attributes, and brand tagging.
  • Monitor POS-to-menu sync and resolve discrepancies between Dutchie POS inventory and what publishes to the online menu.
  • Enforce naming and taxonomy standards so products are displayed consistently across stores
  • Manage product go-live and end-of-life as new SKUs and batches move through inventory.

Merchandising and Conversion

  • Curate menu order, featured products, category banners, and cross-sell placements to drive basket size.
  • Run and analyze A/B tests on menu layout, product imagery, and checkout flow.
  • Track and improve conversion rate, average order value, cart abandonment, and pickup vs. delivery mix.
  • Partner with store teams on order-ready times, fulfillment accuracy, and the online-to-in-store handoff.

Pricing and Promotions

  • Build and QA discounts, bundles, loyalty offers, and daily deals in Dutchie, ensuring they apply correctly at checkout and reflect accurately on all menu surfaces.
  • Validate that promotional pricing complies with state-specific rules on discounting, advertising claims, and tax display.
  • Monitor competitor menus and pricing in each market and flag gaps to pricing and category teams.

Traffic and Lifecycle Marketing

  • Support local SEO for each dispensary:
Google Business Profile, location pages, structured data, and review velocity.
  • Coordinate with the CRM team on email and SMS campaigns (Springbig, Alpine IQ, or similar), including segmentation and offer selection.
  • Work within the constraints of cannabis advertising — no Meta or Google paid search — to build traffic through owned channels, compliant ad networks, and local partnerships.

Reporting

  • Build and maintain recurring reporting on online revenue, orders, conversion, AOV, and channel mix by store and state.
  • Provide read-outs on promotional performance and merchandising tests.
  • Surface trends and anomalies to marketing, retail, and category leadership.

This role may include additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, or retail marketing.
  • Hands-on experience with an e-commerce or online ordering platform;
    Dutchie strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Comfort with analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Looker, Power BI, or similar).
  • High attention to detail — able to catch a wrong price or…
