Extracellular Vesicle-Based Molecular Signatures for Personalizing Neoadjuvant Treatment in Triple Negative Breast Cancer (EV-PREDICT)

Research Objective
The research will focus on studying extracellular vesicles (EVs) as predictive biomarkers for response to neoadjuvant therapy in breast cancer. This involves isolating and characterizing EVs derived from biological matrices with varying levels of complexity, such as plasma, tissues, and PDOs (patient-derived organoids), in order to develop predictive models for patients with triple-negative breast cancer.

Main Activities

Collection and processing of tissue and blood samples

Derivation and culture of patient-derived tumor organoids

Histological and biochemical characterization of organoids and tumor tissues

Analysis of EVs from biological fluids and culture medium

Data analysis and interpretation

Requirements

PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields

Expertise in cell culture, biochemical and histological techniques

Experience in the analysis of biological fluids and biomarkers

Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
