Personal Assistant

I am a 10 year old boy, living at home with my family in Peebles. I am Autistic and Dyspraxic. I am high functioning and love to chat. I am looking for someone to come and spend some time with me each week for around 3 hours per week but with flexibility – some weeks I might not need your help and the next week I might need a bit more.

My Mum is looking for someone who can be flexible with us.

I love trains and cats. I really enjoy birdwatching, playing around in puddles and water and just generally being outdoors.

I have some sensory issues so struggle with really loud noises, different tastes and textures. I am really afraid of dogs. I can get anxious and do not really like to be on my own. I don’t like to get my hands dirty and need support when using the toilet, as again, I don’t like to be by myself.

I am looking for someone who is kind, caring and preferably has experience of working with children with Autism. I need someone who will watch me at all times and who will keep me safe and away from harm.

When you are with me, we could go out and about and do some activities I enjoy, or if I am not feeling up to it, we can just chill at my home.

The hourly rate is £13.20 and you are entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave per year, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
