Staff Accountant

Most accounting jobs hand you someone else’s books. This one hands you a blank page.

Nokosi is a private golf and wellness club being built by the Nicklaus family in Palm Beach County, and we are hiring our founding Staff Accountant. The course, the clubhouse, the systems, the books, all of it starts now. The person in this seat helps set the financial foundation up right the first time, instead of inheriting someone else’s shortcuts.

You will own accounts payable and receivable, help stand up and connect our point-of-sale (Clubspot) and accounting software, and work shoulder to shoulder with our fractional CFO to build clean, dependable financials from the first invoice forward. Member billing, vendor payments, reconciliations, month-end close, and records that are always audit-ready. It is hands‑on and it matters. Get it right at the start, and everything downstream gets easier.

You are accurate and organized by nature, good with numbers and with the small details most people miss. You adapt, because a start-up has surprises, and you are happy to wear more than one hat while the club finds its feet. You are trusted with money and member information, without exception.

This is a founding role. Some days are clean and some are chaotic. You will build things that do not exist yet, and you will have real say in how they get built. The role starts remote, with a place to office at the club once our facilities open. If you want a quiet seat in a finished machine, this is not it.

• An accounting or bookkeeping background (degree, certificate, or equivalent experience) with a solid accounts payable and receivable foundation.
• Comfort implementing and working in accounting and point-of-sale systems. Clubspot or Quick Books experience is a plus.
• Strong organization, accuracy, and dependability under deadlines.
• Discretion and high ethical standards with confidential financial and member information.
• Time in a private club, golf, or hospitality is a plus. Based in or able to commute to Palm Beach County, Florida.
