Key Responsibilities
Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting floors and surfaces
Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with school procedures
Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels and toilet roll
Clean and sanitise touch points (e.g. door handles, handrails)
Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly
Follow health & safety, COSHH and safeguarding procedures
Report any maintenance issues, damages or hazards to the site manager
Ensure all areas are left clean and ready for the school day
Person Specification
Essential:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Physically able to carry out cleaning duties
Understanding of basic health and safety practices
Desirable:
Previous cleaning experience (especially in a school or similar setting)
Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
Awareness of safeguarding in an educational environment
