Do you want to make a lasting positive change to the environment? As a Senior Advisor in the UK BAT team you can support the drafting of BAT Conclusions and lead technical authoring for a new UK‑wide environmental standard.

• Support the development and drafting of BAT Conclusions for large installations in the UK.
• Liaise with Technical Working Groups and coordinate the work of technical authors.
• Present final documents for publication as industry‑wide environmental standards.
• Maintain an inclusive incident management objective and support training for incident roles.
• Travel and overnight stays may be required.

• At least 5 years of working experience in environmental regulation across industrial sectors.
• Solid understanding of UK and EU industrial environmental legislation, including the IED and the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
• Experience coordinating and reviewing the publication of technical documents.

• Understanding the implications of BAT Conclusions in permits and their impact on industry and the environment.
• Verbal and written communication, including preparation of clear, readable reports.
• Planning, prioritising and organising tasks to achieve timely results.
• Responding flexibly to challenges and building consensus.
• Complex data analysis and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and encourage consideration of diversity issues.
