Agricultural Machinery Service Technician
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Agricultural Machinery Technician to join our dynamic team at our Penrith Machinery Depot. This role involves day-to-day technical support in a busy workshop, diagnosing and repairing agricultural machinery, and providing technical guidance across the business. You will work in the workshop or on farm as required, maintain dealer standards and support customers with high levels of service.
Responsibilities- Lead technical support. Repair, diagnose, and maintain agricultural machinery and equipment from leading brands.
- Diagnose and repair machinery to manufacturer specifications with high accuracy.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance across the business.
- Maintain an on-call service and offer out-of-hours support as required.
- Work in the workshop or on farm as required.
- Maintain dealer standards and a clean, efficient working environment.
- Maintain strong working relationships with other departments to ensure quality, accuracy and deadlines.
- Experienced team players able to work on their own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
- Apprenticeship and recognised qualifications for servicing and repairing machinery from leading manufacturers.
- Flexible in carrying out work on customer premises and in the workshop.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to manage change and adapt to unexpected demands.
- Confident IT user with knowledge of diagnostic software.
- Flexible with working hours during peak periods and weekends in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving License required.
- Experience with equipment and machinery from other sectors is welcome.
