American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Invasive/Cath Lab position requiring an active IL RN license and prior cath lab experience.
Details- Cardiovascular Invasive/Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 6:30am-5pm, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
- Call coverage required for weekends and holidays
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three years of applicable nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Strong critical thinking and independent judgment skills
- Basic computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsers
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular invasive/cath lab setting, applying the nursing process from assessment through evaluation
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and modify individualized patient care plans
- Perform bedside lab testing and associated quality control per hospital policy
- Demonstrate technical proficiency with cath lab equipment and troubleshoot as needed
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this travel position
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not work continuously at Carle Health for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
