Are you an experienced Civil CAD Technician ready to lead housing projects from design to construction?

Pettigrew Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a well-established, family-run house builder with a strong reputation. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Civil CAD Technician to join their close-knit technical team.

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering an excellent balance between technical design work and hands-on site involvement. You will play a key part in delivering residential infrastructure projects from early design through to construction and completion.

The Role:

Working closely with engineers, site teams and external consultants, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the design and detailing of residential infrastructure works.
• Preparing, updating and maintaining drawings and technical information using Civil 3D.
• Supporting submissions to adopting authorities as required.
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and designers to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Regular site attendance to:
• Monitor infrastructure works during construction.
• Measure, record and report on completed works.
• Assist with setting out and quality control checks.

The Candidate:

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

• An HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience on the design side of residential infrastructure projects.
• Some site-based experience monitoring and measuring infrastructure works.
• Strong CAD skills, particularly Civil 3D.
• A good working knowledge of UK standards and best practice, including Scottish Water, utilities and NRDG legislation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.
