About the RoleAs a Quality Assurance Lead you will be responsible for helping to develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. This role ensures that all nuclear‑related activities meet stringent quality and safety standards, including compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA‑1, CSA N285, CSA N299.x, CSA B51 and other relevant codes.
You will report to the Deputy Director of Operations and be located at our Peterborough, Ontario, facility. You will work onsite.
- Manage the Nuclear QA team to ensure execution of quality assurance activities.
- Develop and maintain the Quality Assurance Program (QAP), including procedures, audits, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with NRC, DOE, and other regulatory bodies’ requirements. onduct internal audits to verify compliance with NQA‑1 and other applicable standards.
- Interface with engineering, operations, and project management to ensure quality requirements are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Manage nonconformance reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAP‑PIR).
- Provide training and guidance on nuclear QA requirements to staff and contractors.
- Prepare and present quality metrics and reports to leadership.
- Support licensing and regulatory submissions with quality documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience with continuous improvement and problem‑solving methodologies.
- Ability to travel (including internationally) for audits and inspections.
- Travel to the U.S. for Westinghouse business is a bona fide requirement; such travel is subject to U.S. Department of Energy rules and U.S. export laws and regulations.
