Join to apply for the Architectural Project Manager (Building Science) role at Pinchin in Canada
We are seeking an experienced Building Science Consultant to join our team in Ontario. The successful candidate will be based in one of Pinchin’s GTA offices (Mississauga, Toronto, Markham, or Peterborough) and will be responsible for managing building science investigations, designing remediation strategies, conducting inspections, and preparing reports. The role also includes asset management services such as property condition assessments, reserve fund studies, and due diligence for real estate transactions.
Responsibilities include:- Leading building science projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Performing on-site inspections and assessing building envelope conditions.
- Preparing detailed technical reports with findings and recommendations.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Providing asset management services, including property assessments and due diligence.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Staying current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Leading project teams and solving complex building science challenges.
- Representing Pinchin professionally at industry events.
- Minimum 3-year Engineering Technology diploma or 3-year Architectural Technology diploma, with relevant certifications preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction administration of major projects.
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Construction Act, and related regulations.
- Extensive contract administration experience and familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of sustainable practices, LEED, and Net Zero building concepts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, SharePoint, SAP, GIS platforms, and MS Office.
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work outside regular hours and stay current with industry developments.
