Accounts Assistant​/Semi Senior

In our Peterborough based Business team you will be responsible for preparing year end accounts and tax computations for clients with turnovers typically up to £2m.

• Undertaking moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including the accompanying tax computations.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate.
• Reviewing team members  work and own work before passing to the senior on the job.
• Using initiative to resolve any client queries with minimal input from senior/manager.
• Training/mentoring more junior colleagues.

• AAT part qualified/qualified or ACA/ACCA part qualified (minimum criteria).
• Experience of working in an accountancy practice in the UK preparing sets of accounts (minimum criteria).
• Up to date working knowledge of VAT.
• Experience of using Sage, Xero and Quickbooks Online.
• Client facing experience.
