About the Role
As an Account Manager your role will be pivotal in growing revenue within our Public Sector customer base. Through deep industry knowledge and the ability to build strong, influential relationships with key C‑Suite stakeholders, you will act as an advisor, helping clients understand pain points and identify where our solutions add real value.
Using discovery tools, you will gather insights into short‑ and long‑term customer needs, leveraging your knowledge of the Zellis suite of products to increase revenue while ensuring customers receive exceptional employee experiences.
Executive stakeholder management is key to success. Your influence will shape the buying process, build lasting trust, and positively impact our NPS score, positioning us as the go‑to HR, Payroll and WFM provider.
You will actively seek new opportunities, driving revenue growth and fostering a customer‑centric culture. Internal stakeholder management will involve collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align strategies and deliver mutual success, ensuring customer risk is managed and the account base is retained.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Relationship Management:
Build long‑term relationships with C‑Suite members and ensure success with our HR, Payroll and WFM solutions. - Thought Leadership:
Serve as a trusted partner and the first point of contact for HR & Payroll services. - Strategic Planning:
Understand the market, create white‑space analyses and execute account strategies aligned with customer goals. - Revenue Growth:
Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities to increase annual recurring revenue. - Mentoring:
Guide others to deliver exceptional customer experiences. - Target Driven:
Leverage relationships to exceed targets. - Product Champion:
Use discovery tools to understand requirements and recommend solutions from our services suite. - Demand Generation:
Treat every conversation as a lead and take proactive actions. - Pipeline Management:
Maintain a sufficient pipeline to meet or exceed targets. - Forecast Reporting:
Accurately maintain forecasts, highlight commercial risks and propose recovery plans. - Strategic Direction:
Ensure interactions align with Zellis strategic goals and feed back to the Public Sector plan. - Market Intelligence:
Draft a territory strategy to stay ahead of competitors.
- Proven track record in Account Management in HR, Payroll & WFM tech or SaaS.
- Deep understanding of Public Sector verticals and political landscape.
- Strong knowledge of HR, Payroll & WFM processes and software (e.g., ATS, payroll, performance management).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high‑value accounts simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with a results‑driven mindset.
- Experience with complex customers.
- Familiarity with tools like Net Suite, Hub Spot or similar CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of current HR & Payroll trends and compliance requirements.
