We are recruiting for a Construction Manager to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance. As part of Anglian Water’s @One Alliance, we are on a mission to create a sustainable and resilient future for water with an ambitious £2.3 billion capital investment in AMP

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Site Manager and construction team across a portfolio to deliver projects within approved budget and time frame; facilitate project kick‑off meetings and lead health checks.
  • Oversee performance of tier‑2 suppliers in Safety, Time and Quality; approve RAMS and ensure they are appropriate.
  • Take lead on Constructability Reviews, Project Rehearsals and Fit‑for‑Assembly sign‑off, driving out performance and innovation.
  • Drive zero waste and reduce embodied carbon within construction activities.
  • Ensure site teams raise contractual and commercial notices timely.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Construction Manager to establish long‑term and short‑term resource needs.
  • Ensure full H&S compliance and a safe culture where team members feel empowered to raise concerns.
  • Implement a blend of standard products and innovation techniques to maintain industry leadership.
  • Instill company culture and ensure consistency across schemes.
  • Improve awareness, compliance and performance with company standards & processes.
  • Facilitate growth and development of the team.
  • Overall responsibility for commercial and programme delivery while ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Extensive experience in a Construction Management role.
  • Proven experience managing operational resources in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with large structures in the water industry.
  • CSCS (black minimum), SSSTS/SMSTS.
  • HNC / degree in Civil Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 or NEC

  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites in your region.
