Senior System Engineer

Copello Global is working with a leading air traffic management and communication specialist, who are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team working on complex projects.

Location
:
Peterborough, mainly on-site but potential for some hybrid work.

Salary
:
Up to £60,000 plus package.

Security Clearance
: BPSS to start.

The role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll lead the development and integration of advanced systems, making sure they meet high standards for performance and quality. Your work will cover the entire process—from understanding what is needed and designing the system, to testing, deployment, and supporting the system’s operation. You will help solve technical problems and contribute to future technology developments.

Main responsibilities:

• Review and develop system designs and requirements
• Oversee the testing and verification of systems
• Collaborate with different teams to ensure systems work well together
• Support risk management and ensure compliance with standards
• Provide technical advice to project teams and stakeholders

Essential skills and experience:

• Degree in engineering, electronics, telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working with communication systems, networks, and RF technology
• Strong understanding of system design, testing, and verification processes
• Knowledge of VHF/UHF communications, navigation, and surveillance systems
• Ability to interpret requirements and turn them into practical design solutions
