As a Design Engineer you will be working in partnership with the senior leadership team to look at new product development (NPD) and also continuous improvements to their existing range of products.

Design Engineer’s

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end development of new products and drive continuous improvements across the existing range, from initial concept through to production-ready designs.
Produce high-quality CAD models and engineering drawings that meet industry standards, ensuring smooth handover to manufacturing.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to source components, validate design feasibility, and support efficient production.
Generate clear and accurate technical documentation, including bills of materials, assembly information, and visuals to support production and marketing.
Provide occasional technical input to sales and customer support functions, including site visits when required, to ensure products meet user needs and performance expectations.

Skills & Experience Required as a Design Engineer:

Need to have previous experience working as a design engineer, CAD engineer, NPD technician or CAD draftsman
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to problem solve at design stage to overcome potential manufacturing issues ahead of production
CAD software skills, could include Solidworks, AutoCAD, Catia or Creo
Strong communicator with the ability to work to tight deadlines
