Location:

Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Salary:  £50,000 – £60,000 (inclusive of shift allowance)

Shift:  Monday–Friday, 3-shift rotation with 1-in-4 on-call

Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving problems and keeping a busy site running? Our client operates a long-established manufacturing facility with a mix of older machinery and more recent upgrades, giving you genuine variety day to day.

You’ll work across a wide range of electrically driven equipment, including control panels, inverters, motors, sensors and PLC-controlled systems, alongside essential mechanical handling kit.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering a stable shift pattern, solid benefits and the opportunity to further develop your electrical and multiskilled capability within a supportive, safety-focused engineering team.

Multi Skilled Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure electrical and mechanical safety across plant and equipment
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using a digital CMMS
Respond safely and efficiently to equipment breakdowns
Work closely with production teams to plan maintenance activities
Support continuous improvement and site efficiency initiative
Skills & Experience Required for a Multi Skilled Engineer
Strong electrical bias with solid mechanical capability
Level 3 or HNC qualification (or equivalent experience)
Background in manufacturing, processing, FMCG, food or similar
Experience using planned maintenance systems
Able to commute within one hour of the site
