Key Responsibilities     Lead, develop and motivate a team of engineers and contractors to deliver safe, reliable performance.
Oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
Implement and manage preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime.
Drive continuous improvement and equipment reliability through data, KPIs and root cause analysis.
Manage budgets, projects and contractors to deliver cost-effective results.
Skills & Experience Required as an Engineering Manager:
Time-served apprenticeship and strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Proven experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Solid understanding of planned and preventative maintenance systems.
Track record of improving OEE, reliability and reducing unplanned downtime.
Confident communicator with strong leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills.
This role would be suitable for a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager , or Engineering Lead looking for a new opportunity in Hertfordshire and easily commutable from Bishop's Stortford, Harlow, Braintree, Hertford and Saffron Walden.
