** The Apprenticeship
** An apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable, real-life experiences.
We are looking for
** 12 apprentices
** to join our team located at our
** Peterborough facility** (PE1 5FQ
); 5 apprentices to join our
** Maintenance team,
** 1 apprentice to join our
** Quality team, 6
** apprentices to join our
** Research and Development team**.
** Maintenance**:
Our maintenance team members are critical to our business’ success as they possess the technical skills and know-how to maintain our production equipment and facilities. Maintenance apprentices will use computerised systems to aid the completion of routine maintenance, diagnose equipment faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
** Quality**:
Our Peterborough Quality Team completes customer engine return investigation; we also support validation work for New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as cover any rejects from the assembly test and finish facility. We have departments for metrology, torque analysis and engine testing that are constantly evolving to support the needs of internal and external customers.
** Research & Development**:
Our Peterborough facility is home to the Caterpillar Europe Research & Development Centre, a state-of-the-art facility that positions technical specialists where they are needed most to identify, build and perfect the technologies and solutions to help our customers be successful. Apprentices will build, rig, and test new technologies that have yet to be mass-produced.
Our apprentices will:
* earn a competitive salary package, starting at c. £15,311 per year,

** Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge).
