Site Engineer - @One Alliance

JN Bentley is recruiting for a Site Engineer to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance. As part of Anglian Water’s @one Alliance, we are on a mission to create a sustainable and resilient future for water. With an ambitious £2.3 billion capital investment in AMP8, we are revolutionising infrastructure, sustainability and digital transformation to protect the environment and support growing communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks and approvals.
  • Supporting the Site Manager to liaise with the Engineering and Integration team to resolve conflicts and ensure work is carried out in line with specifications and drawings.
  • Assisting the site management teams with all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management, liaising with commercial, procurement and planning teams and supply chain management.
  • Supporting the Site Manager in calling off materials, stock control etc. and liaising with the procurement team to ensure orders are not exceeded without authority.
  • Highlighting any areas of concern before they become an issue.
  • Ensuring programme, quality and cost are delivered by doing the right thing.
  • Exploring alternatives to identify better ways of delivery the need.
  • Minimising waste by ordering the required materials to optimise project performance.
  • Trying to minimise capital carbon through innovation, substitution and eliminations across all activities.
Skills, Experience and Behaviours
  • CSCS and SSSTS certifications.
  • HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of methods, materials and technical aspects relevant to the project.
  • Excellent organisation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
