SuDs Design Engineer (@one Alliance)

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is looking for a SuDS Design Engineer to join our @one Alliance and deliver innovative Sustainable Drainage Systems across the Anglian Water region.
This role will be based in Peterborough and operate on a hybrid schedule (2–3 days on site each week).

Peterborough, United Kingdom – Hybrid (2–3 days on site)

• Develop concept, outline, and detailed SuDS designs using Civil3D and Info Drainage.
• Collaborate with internal teams (modelling, CAD, construction, landscape architects).
• Liaise with local authorities, highways, schools, and community groups to co‑design solutions.
• Support construction by fulfilling Designer responsibilities under CDM 2015.
• Apply CIRIA guidance, British Standards, and Anglian Water design frameworks.
• Create safe, buildable, and maintainable SuDS designs with long‑term performance in mind.

• A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (2:1 minimum).
• Proven experience delivering SuDS designs across the full project lifecycle.
• Confidence working in retrofit and constrained urban environments.
• Familiarity with drainage design standards and health & safety principles.
• Strong communication skills to engage technical teams and external stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset and passion for sustainable, green infrastructure.
