Electrical Site Supervisor

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for an Electrical Site Supervisor on a 3‑month contract based in Peterborough.

This role is site based and falls outside IR35. Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.

To assist the site manager and supervise the electrical works on site, including interfacing with and monitoring subcontractors, whilst feeding back the necessary information to the site manager.

• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations on site.
• Ensure all setting-to-work procedures are followed.
• Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
• Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner.
• Provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub‑contractors are performing to agreed production levels.
• Maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively.
• Perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team.
• Comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions.
• Support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded.
• Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed‑back into the business.
• Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
• Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as‑built drawings.
• Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work including issuing Permits to Dig.
• Set others to work and monitor throughout the task / project.

• Full UK driving licence.
• National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8.
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS.
• CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D industry, preferably on National Grid sites.
• Relevant previous experience at a supervisory level.

• HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering.
• Formal Electrical training.
• Impressed Voltage training.
• IOSH environmental or equivalent.
• HSG
