From £40,000 (depending on experience)

• 25 days annual leave
• Up to 10% Bonus
• Contributory pension scheme – Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution up to 10%

• Develop a strong understanding of business data structures within a Snowflake environment and build relationships to comprehend data hierarchies in a mixed application environment.
• Assist in building and maintaining business rules, data views, and data catalogues to ensure accurate and accessible information.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and stakeholders to document data definitions and lineage for transparency and compliance.
• Support efforts to organize and optimise data for advanced analytics and AI‑driven solutions.
• Learn and contribute to processes that expose curated data to AI models, enabling the creation of robust vector databases.
• Participate in initiatives to integrate data into agentic frameworks, driving intelligent automation and decision‑making.
• Continuously expand technical skills in SQL, data modeling, and cloud‑based data platforms.

• Core Technical Skills
  • Data modelling basics – understanding of tables, relationships, and normalization.
  • Cloud data platform familiarity – exposure to Snowflake concepts like warehouses, schemas, and roles.
  • Basic scripting – knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
  • Version control – familiarity with Git for collaborative work.
  • Basic understanding of APIs – for exposing data to external systems or AI models.
  • Understanding of data quality principles – accuracy, completeness, consistency.
• Soft Skills
  • Communication skills – documenting and explaining data structures to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous learning attitude – open to upskilling in AI, data engineering, and cloud technologies.
• Experience
  • Attention to detail – critical for building accurate data views and rules.
  • Problem‑solving mindset – ability to troubleshoot data issues.
