About The OpportunityThe Water and Environment Business Unit advises clients on River Engineering and Flood Risk Management, including flood defence structures, weirs, gates, sluices, flood storage reservoirs, natural flood management, habitat creation, hydrometric gauging facilities and fish passes. As a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller you will work with a multidisciplinary team on projects for the Environment Agency, SEPA, water companies and major infrastructure providers.
Your duties may include identifying environmental flow targets for water companies, designing river restoration schemes, and using modelling software to map flood risk and protect homes from flooding.
- Working towards a Degree or Masters level qualification in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Science.
