Graduate Environmental Advisor – Farrans Construction

As a Graduate Environmental Advisor at Farrans, you will work closely with the Head of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) to help improve the company's environmental performance. Your role will include supporting Environmental Advisors, working with various teams and partners, auditing and measuring environmental efforts, assisting with reports, sharing best practices, and coordinating activities within the SHE team. You'll need strong people skills and the ability to influence others to ensure that SHE principles are integrated into everything Farrans does.

• Implementing and operating SHE management standards and processes.
• Working to assist the SHE team and multiple stakeholders and locations.
• Assist with project and company reporting on Environmental / Sustainability performance.
• Assist with BREEAM / CEEQUAL requirements on projects.
• Support the development of continuous improvement practices including SHE alerts, communication and knowledge sharing.
• Assist with the monitoring of the completion of corrective & preventative actions and the close‑out of NCR’s.
• Support the Environmental Advisors regarding regulator queries and requests.
• Support Environmental Advisor with permitting and consent requirements.
• Develop Site Waste Management Plans and Construction Environmental Management Plans for Projects.
• Assist with Environmental Auditing and environmental mitigation / protection on Farrans sites including management of issues such as noise, water management, ecology, carbon and waste management.
• Assist with the preparation of post-audit reports and identify actions to project and company management teams.
• Assist with Bid Submissions and written responses to ITTs and PPQs.
• Promote and act on Farrans’ ethos ‘Nothing is so important that we cannot take the time to do it safely’ demonstrating a consistent approach to SHE expectations.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree, HNC or HND in an Environmental discipline.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• Knowledge and understanding of Environmental Management.
• Passionate about environmental protection and conservation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organisational skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
