An established and well-regarded top 15 accountancy practice is looking to strengthen its corporate tax advisory capability with the appointment of a Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager. The role sits within a specialist corporate tax team that supports a broad client base, ranging from owner-managed businesses to larger and more complex groups across a wide variety of sectors.
This is an advisory-focused position offering exposure to technically interesting work, close interaction with senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the tax offering. The role is based in Peterborough, with the chance to collaborate with colleagues and clients across multiple regional offices.
Role Responsibilities- Deliver corporate tax advisory support across a varied portfolio of clients.
- Advise on transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and group reorganisations.
- Support due diligence projects and provide tax input on property and land-based transactions.
- Work on specialist areas including capital allowances and R&D tax relief claims.
- Manage and plan assignments to ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members as required.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong recent experience in corporate tax advisory within practice.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of UK corporate tax matters.
- Experience advising owner-managed businesses and private companies.
- Commercially aware with the confidence to deal with clients at varying levels.
- Proactive, organised and able to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable working collaboratively while also using initiative.
- CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualification preferred.
- 35-hour working week.
- Hybrid working with up to three days per week from home.
