Group External Reporting Manager
Location:
Peterborough / Hybrid (2 days per week on site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group External Reporting Manager to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing complex consolidated financial statements and preparing various external presentations for a number of audiences within strict time frames. This role requires a deep understanding of financial reporting standards, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Tasks
- Produce Complex Consolidated Financial Statements:
Prepare and review consolidated Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements for a complex group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations along with meaningful and insightful analysis of movements. - External Presentations:
Lead the preparation of various external presentations for a number of audiences, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and delivered within strict time frames. - Audit Coordination:
Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations to support the financial statements. - Internal Controls:
Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information. - Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate financial results and insights to senior management, board members, and other key stakeholders. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in the consolidation and reporting processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA).
- Strong audit background.
- Proven experience in producing complex consolidations, including the preparation of P&L statements, Cash Flow statements, and Balance Sheets.
- Strong time management and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel with advanced skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with Anaplan.
- Experience with Lucanet.
