At NWAFT we foster a learning environment, support Radiographers to identify their development needs, give them opportunities to move between specialties and find their niche.

To produce high quality diagnostic images and provide high quality patient care to the service users adhering to national guidelines and taking into account relevant legislation including, but not limited to, the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)
R) 2017 and The Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR
17).
The post holder will participate in all areas of the clinical rota to include dental, theatre, accident and emergency, orthopaedics, endoscopy, mobile procedures, paediatrics, fluoroscopy and CT, working independently and unsupervised. There may also be the opportunity to rotate into Nuclear Medicine and DEXA. The ability to prioritise the workload is essential. You will provide leadership, motivation and training for junior staff.

Person Specification- GCSE & A level equivalent
- HCPC Registration
- DCR or BSC Hons
- Mentor coaching experience
- Minimum of 2 years NHS experience
- Ability to clearly communicate and relate information concisely
- Basic IT skills to manipulate complex post processing packages
- Knowledge of local NHS targets and initiatives
- Knowledge and application of IR(ME)
R 2017 - Knowledge of CRIS and PACS
