The Vacancy

Full Time – Monday - Friday  – Permanent

Remote role with visits to Peterborough for meetings

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning & Strategy Asset Manager to join our Finance team. This pivotal role is responsible for managing asset management data and systems to ensure accurate stock condition information for long‑term investment planning. You will lead the development of 5‑year and 30‑year investment plans, advise on major expenditure decisions, and support the delivery of our Net Zero Carbon strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop the corporate asset management database (Keystone or equivalent).
  • Lead updates to the Asset Management Strategy and align with organizational goals.
  • Define and manage long‑term investment plans and advise on planned programmes for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Monitor energy performance and identify funding opportunities to support sustainability objectives.
  • Oversee contracts for planned and cyclical works programmes and ensure compliance with Section 20 consultation.
  • Provide regular KPI reporting and develop new reporting tools within Keystone.
About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience in housing asset management and long‑term investment planning.
  • Strong understanding of housing compliance standards (Decent Homes, Energy Performance).
  • Proven ability to manage asset management systems and deliver strategic plans.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Degree or HND in Building Surveying, Construction, Asset Management, Housing, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Desirable
  • Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIH).
  • Knowledge of sustainability strategies and Net Zero Carbon requirements.
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2).
Additional Requirements
  • Clean driving licence and access to a suitably insured vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends if required.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
