Scout Recruiting is currently resourcing for a Group Manager, Management Information Systems (MIS). The Group Manager of Management Information Systems (MIS) is responsible for leading the organisation’s MIS function to ensure accurate, timely and compliant data management. The role supports strategic planning, operational performance and regulatory reporting through effective systems, processes and team leadership.

This is a full-time permanent role. Salary expectation is Circa £52,000 along with a host of excellent non-salary benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MIS teams covering data, funding, compliance, reporting, planning and systems.

• Ensure accurate recording, maintenance and reporting of management information across all services.

• Oversee the delivery of timely and accurate statutory and funding data returns.

• Develop and improve systems, processes and reporting to enhance efficiency and data quality.

• Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality and audit requirements.

• Coordinate annual data and reporting cycles with operational teams.

• Provide high-quality management information and analysis to support decision-making.

• Manage and monitor service desk activity to ensure service standards are met.

• Support income optimisation through robust data quality and validation processes.

• Act as deputy for the senior MIS lead when required.

Line Management

• Directly manage MIS team leaders.

• Provide leadership, coaching and performance management across the wider MIS team.

• Lead recruitment, induction, development, appraisal and wellbeing activities.

• Promote effective teamwork, communication and continuous improvement.

• Significant experience managing management information systems or data services.

• Proven experience leading and motivating teams.

• Strong knowledge of data systems, reporting tools and information management processes.

• Advanced IT skills, particularly in data analysis and reporting.

• Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Understanding of funding, compliance and audit requirements.
