We are working with a well-established and expanding manufacturer seeking skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a modern, high-volume FMCG production site in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role within a business investing heavily in people, equipment, and future growth.

The Role

Working within a fast-paced FMCG environment, you’ll be responsible for a balanced split of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance, ensuring production lines and machinery run safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on automated manufacturing and packaging equipment

Mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and improvements, with supporting electrical work where required

Responding to breakdowns in a time-critical production environment

Supporting continuous improvement, reliability, and engineering improvement projects

Working closely with production teams to maintain output, safety, and quality standards

This role operates on a Double Days shift pattern (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm), providing structure and consistency without night shifts.

What We’re Looking For

Mechanically biased, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Experience with in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated production environments

Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with basic to intermediate electrical competence

Proactive, reliable, and motivated to progress within a growing organisation
