About the Role:

We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading heavy industrial manufacturer at their busy site in Whittlesey, Peterborough . This is a permanent nights role working on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, offering stability, challenge, and excellent pay. You'll be responsible for keeping critical machinery running in a demanding, high-volume environment - reacting quickly to breakdowns and performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance across heavy plant machinery Fault-finding and repair of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and PLCs Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives Responding to breakdowns swiftly to keep production on track Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure minimal disruption Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with health & safety

What We're Looking For:

Time-served or formally qualified engineer (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) Multi-skilled background - electrical or mechanical bias considered Experience in heavy industry , manufacturing , aggregates , cement , or similar Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills under pressure Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment on nights Team player with a proactive approach to maintenance What You'll Get in Return: £53,000 base salary  optional overtime Permanent nights - stable shift pattern ?
