Maintenance Engineer

Salary – £45,000

Shift Pattern – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Location – near Peterborough

We are partnering with a well‑renowned and recognised FMCG Manufacturer near Peterborough to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

• Proactively deliver scheduled maintenance to maximise production line efficiency, reliability and overall performance
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across a broad range of modern production and packaging equipment
• Collaborate closely with Production Teams, sharing technical expertise and supporting operators to enhance equipment performance and reliability
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on reducing downtime and driving operational efficiency
• Support the installation, commissioning and upgrading of new machinery and production lines
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety and food industry regulations and standards
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and keep records up to date

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a FMCG or manufacturing environment, working with production/packaging machinery
• Engineering Level 3 Qualification, such as NVQ or BTEC
• Experience in a similar role (multi‑skilled maintenance engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, engineering technician, maintenance technician, or electrical maintenance engineer)
• Demonstrated experience of driving or contributing to continuous improvement activities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
