Peterborough - Senior Practitioner -Family Safeguarding Team

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner (SP) to join its Family Safeguarding Team for Peterborough City Council.

Job Title: Senior Practitioner (SP) - Family Safeguarding Team
Pay Rate: 42 per hour
Location: Sand Martin House, Peterborough, PE2 8TY

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working

Peterborough City Council is recruiting an experienced Senior Practitioner (SP) to join its Family Safeguarding Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and skilled practitioner to support high-quality social work practice and contribute to positive outcomes for children and families through the Family Safeguarding model.

Hybrid Working Arrangements:

• Based at Sand Martin House, Peterborough at least 2 days per week
• Home working on other days, with flexibility to undertake visits as required
• Duty days must be office-based

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing professional leadership, guidance, and support to social workers
• Managing and overseeing complex family safeguarding cases
• Supporting high-quality assessments, planning, and risk management
• Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners within the Family Safeguarding framework
• Ensuring practice complies with statutory duties, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification
• Registered with Social Work England
• Significant post-qualifying experience, including experience at Senior Practitioner level or equivalent
• Strong understanding of Family Safeguarding practice and statutory responsibilities

Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
Driving license and access to own vehicle
