37 hours per week, Monday Friday Start Time: 7:15am Pay: £12.66 per hour We are seeking a reliable and hardworking 7.5T Driver (Fly-Tipping & Street Cleansing Operations) to join our clients Environmental Services team in Peterborough. This role is essential in keeping the local area clean, safe, and well-maintained through the removal of fly-tipping and the delivery of a range of street-cleansing services.
If you enjoy practical outdoor work, have strong driving skills, and are committed to doing a job thoroughly and professionally, wed like to hear from you. Key Skills, Qualifications & Capabilities Full manual UK driving licence with C1 entitlement , plus valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card. Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling and lifting throughout the working day.
Proven experience driving 7.5-tonne vehicles safely in busy or urban environments. Ability to follow schedules while also responding promptly to urgent or reactive tasks. Good communication skills and a professional, courteous approach when dealing with colleagues and the public. Ability to complete paperwork or digital records accurately and on time. Main
Duties & Responsibilities Vehicle Operation & Fly-Tip Clearance Drive a 7.5T caged tipper to locations across Peterborough to remove fly-tipped waste and support a range of cleansing activities. Ensure safe loading and unloading of waste, following correct manual-handling procedures. Navigate urban streets and tight access areas safely and responsibly. Street Cleansing Support Assist with scheduled and reactive street-cleaning duties including:
Litter picking (manual and mechanical) Emptying litter bins Graffiti removal Removal of fly posting General grounds and street maintenance as required Operational Standards & Reporting Carry out daily vehicle and equipment safety checks, reporting any defects promptly Maintain accurate records of all tasks using paper-based or handheld electronic reporting systems Follow all operational procedures, health & safety guidance, and environmental regulations Teamwork & Customer Interaction Work closely with supervisors, team members, and subcontractors to deliver high standards of service Engage professionally and politely with members of the public when required Contribute to a positive team environment and represent the service in a responsible and customer-focused manner Please call: for full details.
