Health Visitor Peterhead

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a creative and driven health visitor to become a member of our Buchan Health Visiting team.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities, as well as a dedication to integrated teamwork, are required of the successful candidate.
Understanding the GIRFEC framework is crucial, as well as knowledge of the Universal Health Visiting Pathway, UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024, Named Person, and Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
For the first year, Health Visitors who are new to the Peterhead area, are offered monthly case supervision to help you get to know your caseload and the communities served. Additional opportunities for multiagency networking will come from opportunities to participate in the local GIRFEC Group.
Integrating a trauma-informed workforce is one of the Buchan Health Visiting Team's primary goals, as an innovative and compassionate team that supports and nurtures ongoing professional development, including international collaboration opportunities.
As a vital member of the Buchan Health Visiting and School Nursing Team, the successful candidates will have the chance to contribute to reducing inequalities and the enhancement of health and wellbeing in the communities they serve.
Responsibilities and expectationsResponsibilities include contributing to reducing inequalities and enhancing health and wellbeing within the communities served, and collaborating as part of the Buchan Health Visiting and School Nursing Team.
Qualifications and requirementsEssential requirements include:
- Knowledge of GIRFEC framework
- Knowledge of Universal Health Visiting Pathway
- Knowledge of UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024
- Knowledge of Named Person and Children & Young People (Scotland) Act 2014
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Ability to work in an integrated, trauma-informed team
