MTrec Technical are proudly partnering with our prestigious manufacturing client, based near Peterlee, with their plans for growth and expansion by recruiting a Quality Engineer to join their team. Our client is well established within their sector and are currently experiencing strong growth following their best financial year to date, fuelled by high demand for their products. The Job You’ll Do;

  • Ensuring that all aspects of quality inspections are carried out thoroughly, and suggesting process improvements and controls, utilising quality improvement processes/tools

  • Ensuring that quality KPIs are achieved across all sites with accurate monthly/quarterly and ad hoc reporting.

  • Managing non-conformances through to resolution by means of root cause analysis, continuous improvement and implementing robust preventative actions with Line Managers.

  • Conducting audits of the: quality system, processes, products and performance reporting.

  • Maintaining a high standard of communication, both written and verbal, to all levels of the organisation.

  • Undertaking any training and continual personal development required to fulfil the role, staying up to date with current legislation and case studies.

  • Balancing involvement with the ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ sides of the business, between the manufacturing/product side to sales and finance.

  • Travel to other sites in the UK and overseas as required (2/3 days per month typically)

About You;

  • Previous quality assurance experience in a manufacturing process environment (preferably with an NVQ engineering background).

  • Lean Six Sigma Qualified (desirable)

  • Auditing qualifications for ISO 9001.

  • The ability to communicate at all levels, adapting style to different personality types.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A balance of pragmatism and strictness.

  • An analytical mindset.

  • Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Forms, Excel etc.

  • Full Driving License

  • Availability to travel overseas
