The Company
A leading name in automotive manufacturing is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team in Peterlee. Working on a three-shift rotation, you’ll oversee both machine shop and assembly operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and performance targets are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety targets.
* Oversee daily production activities, ensuring smooth shift handovers and effective communication between teams.
* Drive performance and efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
* Allocate resources to meet production schedules and adapt to changing priorities.
* Work with Maintenance to address equipment issues and minimise downtime.
* Support a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
* Identify and implement process enhancements that improve productivity and quality.
* Manage internal and customer issues, implementing robust corrective actions.
Skills and Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Production Supervisor (minimum 3 years in a similar environment).
* Background in automotive or precision engineering/manufacturing is essential.
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and production best practices.
* Excellent people management, communication, and organisational skills.
* Proactive leader who drives engagement, accountability, and improvement.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and production management systems.
* Analytical, reliable, and adaptable with a positive, hands-on approach.
