Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting our amazing client in the recruitment of an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their Teesside operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a heavy industrial environment, contributing directly to the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of critical steel structures, plant and equipment. You'll be part of a skilled, safety-driven team.
The Role
As a Welder Fabricator, you will carry out fabrication and welding activities to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in line with engineering drawings, specifications and site procedures.
Working across large-scale steelwork and industrial plant, you will play a key role in maintaining operational reliability and supporting ongoing production and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out welding and fabrication activities on structural steel, platework and plant components
Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and specifications
Perform welding using processes such as MMA, MIG and FCAW (depending on site requirements)
Undertake cutting, burning, grinding and preparation of materials
Ensure all work meets quality standards and inspection requirements
Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety policies, permits and safe systems of work
Support maintenance shutdowns, breakdowns and planned works as required
Complete job documentation and quality records accurately Skills & Experience
Time-served Welder Fabricator (apprenticeship or equivalent)
Proven experience working in a heavy industrial or steel manufacturing environment
Competent in structural steel welding and fabrication
Ability to work from detailed fabrication drawings
Welding qualifications/coding (advantageous but not essential)
Strong safety awareness and team-focused approach
Flexible to work shifts, overtime and shutdown periods What's on Offer
