Critical Facility Engineer

Meta is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers form the backbone of Meta's global infrastructure, supporting the systems and services that connect billions of people worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands‑on operation and maintenance of critical mechanical, electrical, and controls systems that keep our data centers running safely and reliably around the clock.

• 5+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance field
  
  Associate's degree in engineering plus 3+ years experience or Bachelor's degree in related field plus 1+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or controls will be considered in lieu of 5+ years experience
• Use hands and fingers
• Reach/push/pull with hands/arms/shoulders
• Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
• Lift and/or otherwise move 45 pounds or more
• Ability to work at a workstation for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Knowledge of critical facilities operations
• Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments
• 3+ years of experience in a data center or other Critical Environment (pharma, clean room, medical, power production, etc.)
• Trade Certification or state licensure in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC)
• Knowledge of EAM/CMMS systems
• Professional affiliations (7x24 Exchange, IFMA, Data Center Pulse, etc.)
