Senior Asphalt Paving Foreman: Crew Leader

Currently seeking individuals with Asphalt Paving Foreman experience to fill positions in Salt Lake City, Utah . The ideal paving candidates should have 3 years of paving experience and working knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment.

Responsibilities of the Asphalt Paving Foreman

● Communicate with the Manager, Superintendent, inspectors and/or engineers about the paving project.

● Distribute and discuss the schedule and the equipment needed for the day with the paving crew.

● Confirm loading times, types of material and tonnage totals.

● Review work order to confirm job specifications.

● Discuss the procedures with the crew prior to starting and throughout the project.

● Ensure quality workmanship with rake, roller and paver.

● Monitor and document crew members’ time and complete Daily Job report.

Requirements of the Asphalt Paving Foreman

● High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

● Minimum 3 years of paving experience

● Current Class C driver’s license with good driving record

● Physically able to lift 50 pounds or more, work long hours and weekends if needed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

● Working knowledge of all asphalt paving procedures and paving equipment

● Ability to pave according to DOT and commercial specifications

● Experience in reading and understanding site and civil plans (grades and measurements)

● Excellent communication and listening skills

● Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check
