Phoenix, United States
- Location: North Phoenix, AZ (semiconductor project site)
- Job type: Full-time, on site
- Schedule: 60/60/50 rotation, with early morning and evening communication as needed
An Arizona industrial and structural steel contractor (since 1974) with its own fabrication shop and field ironwork crews, currently staffing a major semiconductor (hi-tech) project.
MUST HAVES- 3+ years as a Superintendent, or 5+ years as a General Foreman
- Extensive field experience as an ironworker and foreman
- Has managed on-site crews of 50 or more
- Can run an equipment plan for 20+ pieces of equipment
- Will complete the NCCER Superintendent Certification Program
You'll lead the on-site team and run day-to-day operations on a hi-tech facility, keeping work safe, on schedule and on budget, and holding the team accountable.
What you'll do- Work with Project Managers and the general contractor to build a smart erection plan
- Set manpower: crew size and skill mix to hold the schedule; recruit, interview, discipline and promote crew members
- Coach foremen and crews on hazards and controls, and champion job site safety
- Develop and run the on-site equipment management plan (20+ pieces)
- Attend customer meetings and report status and progress across multiple scopes
- Give PMs job costing information and strategies to meet budget
- 3+ years as a Superintendent or 5+ years as a General Foreman
- Ironworker and foreman field background
- Job costing and production forecasting know-how
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and work on elevated structures
- Lead the field on a major semiconductor project
- Large crews and real ownership of the site
