General Manager, Venture & Private Equity

For our client, we are seeking a General Manager, Venture & Private Equity to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will shape and grow a specialized business focused on serving venture and private equity clients. You will own the commercial strategy, deepen relationships across the fund ecosystem, and help ensure the offering is aligned to the needs of this sophisticated market. The position requires a blend of investment banking expertise, fund-market fluency, and the ability to drive profitable growth through strong execution and cross-functional partnership.

Remote

Compensation: $275,000 – $325,000 annually

• Develop and execute the strategy for the venture and private equity business.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with general partners, fund CFOs, and other key stakeholders.
• Identify and prioritize product offerings that meet the needs of the sector.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and execution.
• Drive the P&L for the venture and private equity sector, ensuring profitability and growth.

• 7 to 12 years in investment banking, private credit, private equity, or venture with a proven track record of originating business.
• Strong network in venture and private equity, with immediate access to key industry players.
• Deep understanding of fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, and portfolio management.
• Skilled in structuring partnerships and negotiating terms independently.
• Proficient in Excel with the ability to build financial models and understand unit economics.
