JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results‑driven professional to join our team in the role of Authorized Senior Advisor. Reporting to the Operations & Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for Operations Outage project planning and execution coordination.
KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide expert knowledge of nuclear power plant operations, including system interface, licensing, regulations, and engineering principles.
- Coach and facilitate an engaged, inclusive, and empowered team, supporting staff development and performance optimization.
- Develop and manage strategic work programs, business plans, and staffing deployment, ensuring effective reporting and analysis of costs, human performance, and program effectiveness.
- Design, deliver, and assess training programs, including lectures, simulator demonstrations, and examinations for staff and CNSC qualifications.
- Lead or participate in teams to achieve operational goals, support issue resolution, and guide staff on training, compliance, and best practices.
- Maintain and update departmental documentation, monitor operational changes, conduct routine assessments, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Previously certified by a regulator to operate a Nuclear Power Plant
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
- The ability to deliver and assess training and lead simulations
- Previous experience as a Senior Reactor Operator or Reactor Operator is an asset
- Previous Outage department planning experience
