Location:

Pickering, ON

• Depending on the phase of the project where they will be assigned: conceptual / preliminary / detail design / ready for installation & commissioning, they will have to:
• Review & understand the current documents (diagrams / schematics)
• Run the electrical transient analyzer program (ETAP), used for simulation of the electrical network
• Define / size / calculate electrical power: cable sizing, connection wire diagram, technical specification & data sheet (to purchase the equipment)
• As an example the latest project was in Pickering to replace inverters (switch direct current to alternative) & rectifiers (the opposite, switch alternative to direct current)
• Encountered equipment types: inverters, rectifiers, transformers, converters, power system, switch gear – circuit breakers

• Above 3 years of experience in related nuclear field
• Experience with the list of equipment (at least some of them): inverters, rectifiers, transformers, converters, power system, switch gear – circuit breakers
• Nuclear experience for the clearance (Bruce Power or OPG)
• Deep knowledge of ESA (electrical safety authority) / CSA (Canadian standards association)
