Summary: The incumbent is responsible for the supervision and coordination of system commissioning, training clients, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and providing ongoing technical support for Eco‑Tec’s global network of oil & gas, mining, produced water, and anodizing clients.
The Field Engineering Representative also provides supervision and instruction to Production Technicians throughout production and testing phases.
Responsibilities- Supervise equipment commissioning and coordinate work groups at customer facilities.
- Attend paid service calls, prepare field service reports, complete daily event logs.
- Train customers on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Perform factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing to demonstrate performance.
- Prepare internal/external commissioning reports, letters and training materials.
- Provide on‑site support and field customer calls to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and process problems; document and escalate issues.
- Review equipment manuals and installation instructions.
- Supervise and lead in‑house quality assurance testing; complete quality documentation as per QE system.
- Attend project meetings to review design and conduct subsequent meetings following testing.
- Create procedures and checklists for system commissioning.
- Record and resolve customer complaints and non‑conformances per ISO 9001.
- Ensure compliance with company workplace health & safety rules.
- Attend job‑specific training courses and maintain qualifications.
- Perform other duties as required by the Manager or Supervisor.
Reporting To: Manager – Technical Service & Quality
Interactions with all levels of the organization, frequent contact with clients, customers, and suppliers.
SpecificationsEducation: Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technologist Diploma, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: New Graduate or 3+ years hands‑on experience; related industry experience is an asset.
Skills: Mechanical inclination, analytical reasoning, independent problem solving, self‑discipline, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong command of English, adaptable to various environments.
Other: Extensive travel (75%+), overtime, personal vehicle and valid driver’s license, eligible to obtain passport/VISA.
